The meeting of the Executive Committee of ARSIPSO was held on 20 September 2008 at the residence of Shri K.M. Singh. The following were present:

Shri B.S. Das, Patron, informed that he plans to set up a Foundation to commemorate the memory of his grandfather who served as a senior police officer in UP. The Foundation will encourage activities undertaken for advancement of police security matters, studies concerning the police profession, welfare of policemen and their families. His generous offer was thankfully accepted. Shri Das also offered to make available his office space for holding meetings of the ARSIPSO and setting up of a documentation centre in his office. The Committee welcomed and accepted the offer.
Regarding interaction between members of the ARIPSO with Maulana Mehmood Madani, at the India Interaction Centre on 11 October 2008, it was decided that the President of ARSIPSO and a few members will call on Maulana Madani to discuss about the broad outlines of the subject of his talk so that it becomes more purposive and facilitates better interaction.
It was decided to redesign the website of ARSIPSO with a view to making it more interactive and linking it with other websites like Top Cop. The necessary expenditure to be incurred for redesigning the website was approved in the meeting.
The suggestion to employ a helping hand for keeping the website up-dated regularly was approved. It was decided that the concerned Assistant, Shri Dleep Mehta, will be paid an honorarium of Rs. 2,500/- (Rupees two thousand five hundred only) per month.
The suggestion of Shri Saurabh Shukla, India Today correspondent, for organizing interaction between a group of senior police officers and journalists from time to time on different law and order and security issues was accepted. It was decided that the General Secretary will keep in touch with Shri Shukla and work out appropriate measures for implementing the suggestion.
It was decided that in future all the invitations to members for programmes of ARSIPSO will be sent only through SMS and e-mails as letters despatched to them do not often reach in time.
